A new chapter of Texas history

Howard+Revis is proud to help the Texas Historical Commission open its newest visitor center this month at San Felipe de Austin, where the “Father of Texas” Stephen F. Austin first put down roots in Texas. San Felipe was burned to the ground during the Texas Revolution, so the interpretive program is tasked with reimagining these tumultuous colonial years. Our exhibit brings together custom scratchboard muralwork from artists Kent Barton, Bruce Hutchison and Suzanne Shelden; dynamic multimedia from partner Cortina Productions; plus telling primary sources and archeological evidence of the vanished town.
