Howard+Revis Design Services, a leading exhibition design firm located in Washington, DC, is looking for a 3D exhibit designer to join our small, but growing team of dedicated professionals. Our project portfolio is diverse, but expect to work on a variety of small- and large-scale exhibits for museums, visitor centers and outdoor venues, with a repeat client base that includes the Smithsonian, National Park Service, National Civil Rights Museum, and U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.
Major responsibilities:
Collaborating with senior designers, graphic designers and content developers to create cohesive, fun, and unique experiences
Creating custom solutions tailored to each project
Conceptual modeling and rendering for client presentations
Developing drawing packages, including construction drawings
The ideal candidate:
Has working experience with all phases of design, from concept generation to design detailing
Has a good attitude. Is also a curious, innovative, and critical thinker. Self-motivation is important
Is highly organized and detail-oriented
Can sketch, diagram, draw, model and render to visually communicate with both the internal team and clients
Has a basic understanding of architectural assemblies and details. Is also open to learning and sharing knowledge
Is ready to share your unique set of skills and individual perspective
Has proficiency in Rhino, Vectorworks, AutoCAD, and InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
Experience in Revit, Grasshopper, and other 3D design softwares a plus
Believes in the power of storytelling to educate and change minds
Is passionate about social justice (especially since many of our projects involve histories of marginalized communities)
Qualifications and experience:
Bachelor or Master’s degree in exhibit design, architecture, interior design, industrial design, or related fields

Remote work is a possibility, or you can work out of our Capitol Hill office in DC. Remote work is valued as long as you are able to travel to our office in DC and various locations to job sites.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
