This immersive exhibit showcases Maine’s largest and most diverse collection of artifacts related to domestic life. Detailed period room settings, coupled with historic backdrops and evocative quotes from Mainers themselves, capture the unique qualities of Maine's diverse communities, the state's iconic landscapes and its treasured traditions. Through the exhibit, visitors are invited into a range of scenes including a traditional Acadian kitchen, a 1960s TV room, a 19th-century parlor, a music room, the front porch of a summer vacation "camp", a children's bedroom and an interactive attic space.
