Baltimore Visitor Center Trailhead
CLIENT
City of Baltimore
LOCATION
Inner Harbor, Baltimore, MD
This map-based tourism hub attracts people to the Visitor Center at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and encourages exploration of the many trails originating at the trailhead. Exhibit structures include a mast-mounted “welcome” panel with night-lighting and changeable special events board, a custom compass rose map table, thematic interpretive panels and room for up to sixteen changeable panels on individual walking, biking, driving and boating trails. Because the interpretive structures were installed outdoors on a harbor-front pier, the foundations were designed to withstand water intrusion and the mast was engineered to be hurricane proof.
