H+R's Liberty and Laughter wins CA's Excellence for Typography

H+R's third exhibit for the George W. Bush Presidential Center is the proud winner of Communications Arts Award of Excellence for Typography. Our bold approach to color, type, and illustration seeks to visualize presidents' intentional (or unintentional) use of humor to deal with the stress of the job and to communicate more effectively with the public. Liberty & Laughter gives behind-the-scenes views into the lighter side of life in the White House through entertaining first family anecdotes, interactive guessing games, presidential debate “bloopers,” amusing artifacts, political cartoons, and custom caricatures. We are especially happy to congratulate Nina Reck, H+R's Creative Director, on her most recent CA award.
