Happy Maryland Day!

When the first colonists stepped ashore at St. Mary's City 388 years ago, the Maryland experiment began. The stories, ideas, conflicts, achievements, and debates that emerged from this settlement continue to shape our world.

The new Maryland Heritage Interpretive Center at Historic St. Mary's City is dedicated to telling Maryland's stories through fresh voices. The design interweaves artifact displays, dimensional type, and tactile elements with projected multimedia shadow-plays on a curving scroll to immerse visitors in the nuanced storyline.

This animation shares a preview of the new exhibits. H+R is proud to be a part of this project, which is now entering the production phase.
